Why can't this be cancer in my leg? Medical professionals preferred PLEASE?

How old are you? When they say "follicle related" they are referring to an ingrown hair. This can be very painful, represent signs of swelling, redness, soreness, but not cancer. Cancer doesn't usually show signs like this. You should take their advice and see a doctor before thinking you have cancer. Sorry, but this doesn't sound like anything to worry about.
