Scientifically/biologically speaking, why do women find a deep voice y?

I know that I (and most females) find a deep voice in most guys to be y. Is there a scientific reason for this. Like a pheromone/hormone type thing? (I know nothing about science.Sorry for my blatant ignorance XD)
