Am I Being Selfish, Or Is He?

First of all I don't believe he can't find a job, it’s that he won’t accept a job that he thinks is beneath him. Sometimes you have to do what you don't want and if that means he needs to get a job shoveling **** then that’s what he need to do. Yes I think he is being selfish, if you can't afford it then he shouldn’t go. If I were you I wouldn’t give him any money for this trip. He is already preventing you from working this weekend, so that means you're already losing money. With a kid in the mix, his well being should come first and not fun!
