What to do about hanging sheet rock on ceiling if joices don't line up?

i'm remodeling a mobile home and apparently the ceiling was drywalled first, then the walls were put up. i ripped all of the old stuff off and now on some of the walls there isn't a joice/stud on the edges for the drywall to fasten to. what is the best approach to making this work? thanks.
