Is Kirk Cameron debating atheism for the sole purpose of making money?

It is true that VH1 does not have enough time slots in their schedule nor the creativity required to provide jobs for all the washed up celebrities from the 80's. Maybe Kirk Cameron is a lot smarter than we give him credit for.
