Indian stuffed green leaf food??

I went to an Indian party and they had this triangular green leaf that was stuffed with something. I have no clue what was inside but it was absolutely disgusting. It had a weird sweet spicy taste but I also had a little burning and tingling sensation. I spit it out but this has me worried, since I dont know what I may have eaten. Everyone else there loved it. Anyone know what this was?????
