How do you adopt a child in England and can you home school?

I lived in England all my childhood and early teen years. When I was 18 I moved to Hawaii. I returned to England at 22 and married my husband who was also from the countryside just south of London. We have been living in Chicago for 6 months for work and now we are going back home. I just found out that I am unable to bear children. Instead of crying my husband and I decided to adopt but we really like how in America you can home school your child. We want to raise our children where we grew up. I am wondering how do you go about an adoption process (we REALLY want to adopt in England.) Also would we be allowed to home school? My husband and I both went to private schools so outside of America we don't know anything about home schooling. Please help we are both VERY confused!!!!!
