2 cats and act like there starving for human food is this normal?

My cat is 7(this one always want humand food) and the other is 3 (this one is BIG) the 7 year old acts like he hasnt eatten in days and i know he has. We recentaly moved from the states to trinidad (west indies)they were quareteened for 30 days . i kow they have had a change and all but the beging has gotten worse
